“Of course, it being Britain, they give you a shot in the other arm, which they call a lorry, and it’s administered with a spoonful of sugar,” Stephen Colbert joked on CBS’ The Late Show.
As Colbert pointed out, the vaccine Britain received is from Pfizer, which offered to sell extra doses to the US earlier this year, but President Trump passed up the offer.
US late-night hosts all ripped into Britain’s “V Day,” which began on Tuesday (8 December) with 90-year-old Margaret Keanan being the first person to receive Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine.
