Tom Cruise holds moment of silence for Val Kilmer: ‘Wish you well on next journey’

Tom Cruise held a moment of silence for his late Top Gun co-star Val Kilmer at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, telling the audience he’d lost a “dear friend.”

Two years ago, Cruise revealed just how emotional his reunion with his old co-star was on the set of Top Gun: Maverick.

“I’d like to honor a dear friend of mine, Val Kilmer,” said Cruise. “I can’t tell you how much I admire his work, how grateful and honored I was when he joined Top Gun and came back later for Top Gun: Maverick.
