Tom Cruise's The Mummy Gets an Official Synopsis

There were two sequels, 2001’s The Mummy Returns, and 2008’s The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, the second of which saw Jet Li taking over the title role.

The synopsis does mention the Middle East, where it is believed The Mummy is first discovered before being transferred to London.

Following The Mummy, other Universal Monsters movies include The Wolfman, The Invisible Man, Bride of Frankenstein and Van Helsing.
