Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 4 held onto the #1 spot at the domestic box office, bringing in $57.9 million and giving it a US total of $236.9 million and putting it just behind Toy Story 2’s domestic total of $245.8 million).
Universal Pictures and llumination’s The Secret Life of Pets 2 held onto fifth place, bringing in $7.09 million for a domestic total of $131.2 million.
Disney now has the four highest openings and the four highest grossing movies of 2019 with Avengers: Endgame, Captain Marvel, Aladdin, and Toy Story 4.
The film brought in $4.2 million for a domestic total of $23.4 million, a decent total for the $10 million reboot, but well below the other Chucky movies when inflation adjustments are factored in.
