Already having an animated project under his overall deal at the studio, Emmy winner Trevor Noah has entered development on another new film at Paramount Pictures in the form of a remake of James Coburn-led satirical black comedy The President’s Analyst, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The project marks the second in the works at Paramount under his overall deal, which currently includes the recently-announced untitled animated comedy based on a story idea from Noah and being penned by Happy Endings co-showrunner Jonathan Groff and Community alum Jon Pollack.
Noah is set to produce the film with his Day Zero Productions partner Haroon Saleem alongside Norman Aladjem, Derek Van Pelt and Sanaz Yamin Mainstay Entertainment.
The script for the project, which is being developed as a potential starring vehicle for The Daily Show host, has been penned Pat Cunnane, who previously served six years as President Barack Obama’s senior writer and deputy director of messaging at the White House.
