Ubisoft announced (via Gamesindustry.biz) on Tuesday that the company was officially working on a new Driver project, in the form of a live-action television show.
The series will be produced by Ubisoft Film & Television, with Jason Altman, Danielle Kreinik, and Genevieve Jones serving as executive producers.
The platform won’t be out until 2022, although the Driver series has no release information so it’s unknown whether or not to expect it to launch alongside the new streamer.
Based on the fan-favorite open-world driving video games, the Driver television series will focus on undercover agent and ex-racecar driver John Tanner and his various run-ins with a crime syndicate that he’s hellbent on taking down.
