According to Deadline, Paramount Players has successfully acquired the rights to Ice Age: The Meltdown writer Jim Hecht’s upcoming social media-inspired fantasy titled Unboxing.
Pocket.watch’s CEO Chris M. Williams is also set as executive producer with Ali Bell to oversee for Paramount.
He has also recently worked with Paramount for rewriting The Gribsbys Go Broke, which is one of iconic director John Hughes’ final scripts.
Hecht is currently busy writing on other film projects such as Netflix’s upcoming film Out of Stock and The Big Cigar for Warner Bros. TV.
