The Rock Hudson biopic All That Heaven Allows is moving forward at Universal Pictures.
Hudson was a legendary leading man of the silver screen back in the 1950s and ’60s, with credits on Pillow Talk, All That Heaven Allows, Lover Come Back and Send Me No Flowers.
Variety reports that the studio is talking with Oscar-winning scribe Richard LaGravenese (The Fisher King) to helm the screenplay, based on Mark Griffin’s book All That Heaven Allows: A Biography of Rock Hudson, which the studio purchased the rights to last year.
Hudson later made the leap to the small screen in the ’70s, with starring roles in long-running series McMillan & Wife and Dynasty.
