For those who do not already know, Green Lantern has become the stuff of legends among many DC fans.
Ryan Reynolds has made no secret of the fact that he’s not particularly proud of the film, and he even recently admitted that he has never seen the completed Hal Jordan origin story in its entirety.
Now Green Lantern mostly exists to serve as fodder for Reynolds in his (much more widely-accepted and beloved) Deadpool franchise over in the X-Men universe created by the folks at Fox.
The film bombed when it premiered in 2011, and in many ways, it arguably represented a false start for DC’s post-Dark Knight Rises landscape that Man of Steel would eventually pick up two years later when the DCEU officially began.
