One of this season’s most stunning pilot passes was The CW saying “no thanks” to Supernatural spin-off Wayward Sisters, which had seemed like a slam dunk.
Legacies is a spin-off of another long-running CW series, The Vampire Diaries, and will keep the CW in the vampire business after another Vampire Diaries spin-off, The Originals, ends its run this summer.
“We had really great material this year,” The CW president Mark Pedowitz told reporters on a conference call Thursday morning.
Now the most prominent of those execs has explained his thought process on why Wayward Sisters was a no-go.
