The new film starred Ellen Page and brought back first Flatliners star Kiefer Sutherland, but it failed to connect with viewers, grossing just $6.7 million in its opening weekend.
It’s also the fifth-highest grossing movie of the year in the U.S., ahead of big franchises like Despicable Me, Logan, and The Fate of the Furious.
