The Weinstein Company’s first movie release since Harvey Weinstein was accused of sexual assault by multiple actresses has flopped.
The Weinstein Company scrubbed multiple release dates for the movie, eventually landing a Google Play release, which started on the 12 October and finishes 8 November.
Starring Bella Thorne, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Jennifer Morrison, and Cameron Monaghan, the Franck Khalfoun written and directed movie was produced by The Weinstein Company along with Blumhouse.
Meanwhile, Suburbicon — the George Clooney-directed, Matt Damon-starring, Coen Brothers-written movie — only took $2.8 million, coming off a $25 million budget.
