This means that a lot of titles that Netflix has gotten as part of its deal with Disney may go to the company’s new service moving forward.
Despite the announcement, the deal doesn’t seem to be effective immediately, because Beauty and the Beast will be arriving on Netflix next month.
As part of the new service Disney CEO Bob Iger expressly said that Disney and Pixar movies would be heading to its streaming service.
The news also comes just a couple of weeks after Disney announced it will be putting together its own streaming service after buying a 42% stake in BAMTech to launch streaming products for Disney and ESPN content.
