As such, Brie Larson told Entertainment Tonight that she doesn’t feel any pressure to bring Captain Marvel to the big screen.
Captain Marvel won’t be the first superheroine movie to hit the big screen, as Wonder Woman made a big splash when it hit theaters this summer, and has pulled in a significant amount at the box office in the weeks subsequent to its release.
It also certainly won’t be the first female-fronted movie ever to hit the big screen.
It’s just like any other movie, and it’s success will depend more on the script and the directing–and to some extent Brie Larson’s acting–than it will on whether or not it was led by a female.
