Elf is one of the most legendary holiday movies of all time and is one of the first movies people think of when they hear the name Will Ferrell.
In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Ferrell spoke about the sequel, which was apparently written and would have paid Ferrell a whopping $29 million to reprise his role as Buddy the Elf.
While fans likely would have flocked to the theater for another Elf film, Ferrell instead chose to leave the original as a classic, a move that has so far paid off.
Speaking in a recent interview, the actor revealed that a sequel almost came to fruition, but never made it out.
