By the end of the July, Wonder Woman became the highest grossing movie at this summer’s domestic box office, and earlier this month, the film reached the $400 million mark at the domestic box office. Thanks to ticket sales in North America and in foreign territories across the globe this weekend, Wonder Woman has now officially doubled the number it’s taken in domestically internationally.
The DC Extended Universe blockbuster Wonder Woman reached another milestone over the weekend by crossing $800 million at the worldwide box office.
While the foreign breakdown of ticket sales is pending, Wonder Woman took in $1.1 million at 803 locations domestically for a 16th place finish domestically.
Wonder Woman’s success has been a longtime coming, since the film marks the first live-action iteration of the character since the Wonder Woman TV series starring Lynda Carter from 1975-1979.
