Fox are seemingly looking to recreate the studio’s success with their own Marvel franchise, expanding the X-Men film franchise to TV screens.
Unlike the upcoming show Legion, Fox has commissioned a pilot episode for an as-yet-untitled Marvel action-adventure drama that will take place in the same cinematic universe as the films.
Interestingly, like how Marvel Studios is producing the upcoming Legion, Marvel’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory will also produce the currently untitled X-Men show.
Since the first Avengers film, Marvel Studios has released numerous TV shows tying into their larger cinematic universe, starting with Agents of SHIELD and including Netflix’s Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage.
