While that doesn’t necessarily mean that Return of Xander Cage will have as compelling an ensemble as the Fast & Furious films do, more allies for Cage to work with will certainly allow for more extravagant stunts – and really, that’s the selling point of a xXx film, something this sequel seems to definitely understand.
Next year, Vin Diesel will take part in three separate franchises: starring in Fate of the Furious, voicing Groot in Guardian of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and returning as Xander Cage for xXx: Return of Xander Cage.
In addition to the new clip, there’s also a new trailer for xXx: Return of Xander Cage that focuses on one of Cage’s new recruits, Kris Wu’s Harvard “Nicks”.
Similar to an earlier trailer that featured Ruby Rose’s Adele Wolff, this one also plays up the ensemble feel that xXx: Return of Xander Cage is aiming for.
