The Hollywood Reporter has brought word that the producing and directing team behind Netflix’s hit adaptation of the teen rom-com novel To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before are reuniting to adapt the New York Times Bestseller Replica.
“We are excited to explore the ideas and themes that young people relate to and I can’t think of better people to tell this story with.”
The girl, who looks identical to Gemma, claims to be from a secretive facility known as the Haven Institute and is an experiment known as a Replica, pulling Gemma and Jake into a twisty conspiracy.
The adaptation of the novel duology will be produced by Mark Kaplan and his ACE Entertainment banner and directed by Michael Fimognari, who currently are working together on the sequel to Netflix’s rom-com hit To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, on which Fimognari is making his directorial debut.
