From 2010 to 2013, Cartoon Network’s Young Justice, created by Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti, was one of the best comic book series on television.
Unlike other contemporary superhero cartoons, Young Justice seemed to feature maturer storylines that could be enjoyed by comic book fans of all ages.
In fact, the season ended with Vandal Savage taking War World to Apokolips and shaking hands with Darkseid.
Perhaps the gold standard in comic book animation is Bruce Timm’s animated universe, which started in 1992 with Batman: The Animated Series.
