CBS isn’t being cagey: It has renewed Zoo for a third season, ahead of next month’s Season 2 finale.
In July, Zoo star James Wolk told Michael Ausiello that the show’s two-hour Season 2 finale — which airs Tuesday, Sept. 6 at 9/8c — is a cliffhanger.
The network announced the renewal Wednesday at the Television Critics Association summer press tour.
To date, the drama’s sophomore run is averaging better numbers (4.5 million total viewers and a 0/8 demo rating) than fellow CBS summertime series American Gothic (2.9 mil/0.6) and BrainDead (3.1 mil/0.5).
