Abbott Elementary has begun filming for season two, despite the current lawsuit brought against creator Quinta Brunson and ABC for copyright infringement.
Brunson shared a tweet today (18 July), announcing the “first day of production for Abbott Elementary season 2”.
“Without [Davis’s] permission, licence, authority, or consent, [Brunson & ABC] knowingly and illegally used [Davis’s] works to create the Abbott Elementary television show,” the legal documents reads.
After its premiere season, Abbott Elementary earned seven total Emmy nominations, which fans have celebrated.
