ABC News President Kim Godwin, who was the first Black woman to run a national broadcast network news operation, is exiting her position.
Debra OConnell, who added ABC News to her portfolio back in February, will run the department in the interim.
Godwin announced her resignation in an internal memo on Sunday night, which was obtained by our sister site Deadline.
Godwin joined the network in 2021 after leaving her position as executive and producer at CBS News.
