According to The Hollywood Reporter, Emmy-winning actor Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Watchmen) has officially signed on to star opposite Oscar nominee Jake Gyllenhaal in Michael Bay’s upcoming thriller film Ambulance.
The project will also be produced by original film producers Tomas Radoor and Rene Ezra along with Bay’s longtime collaborator Ian Bryce.
Directed by Laurits Munch-Petersen, the original film centers around bank robbery involving a returned veteran from Afghanistan and his brother.
The Ambulance remake will be written by Chris Fedak (Chuck, Prodigal Son).
