Space-themed dramas have been a staple of Moore’s career whose other credits include Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Voyager, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Caprica, Carnivàle, and Outlander.
Deadline reports that Ronald D. Moore, who brought back the sci-fi series Battlestar Galactica to television, has developed a new drama that has been given a straight-to-series order by Apple.
Earlier this year, Apple hired Zack Van Amburg and Jamie Erlicht from Sony Television specifically to create original programming for the tech giant.
The series will explore what would have happened if the global space race had never ended.
