The Wall Street Journal reports that Apple has teamed up with Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television and NBCUniversal’s television production unit to reboot the hit anthology series Amazing Stories.
Hannibal and American Gods creator Bryan Fuller is set to serve as showrunner for the Amazing Stories reboot.
Amazing Stories first premiered in September of 1985 fresh off of Spielberg’s success from producing Back to the Future and directing Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
This announcement comes after Apple recently hired Zack Van Amburg and Jamie Erlicht from Sony Television specifically to create original programming for the tech giant.
