The film is nominated in nine categories at the BAFTAs.
Awards season arrives to UK shores this Sunday, as the BAFTAs honour the last year in film – and what a truly spectacular one it was.
Though the ceremony, held at London’s Royal Albert Hall, starts earlier, it airs on TV from 9pm on BBC1.
On nominations alone, it could very well be that Guillermo del Toro’s aquatic romance The Shape of Water, which garnered 12 nods, the most of any film this year, walks away the big winner.
