It’s been almost two months since The BBC shelved an adaptation of Agatha Christie’s Ordeal by Innocence, owing to rape allegations against star Ed Westwick.
Prior to the allegations against Westwick, BBC One had initially scheduled its Ordeal By Innocence adaptation to air December 26 as part of the network’s Christmas lineup.
Now, The BBC reveals that the miniseries will move forward after re-shooting the Gossip Girl star’s scenes with a new actor.
Additionally, Westwick was shooting the second season of BBC comedy White Gold when the allegations first broke, and production remains suspended.
