Speaking to Empire ahead of superhero mash-up Justice League, Affleck said: “I can understand people saying [the film] was too dark, or this was outside the tone of what I’m used to seeing with a Batman story, and I think that’s a fair criticism.“ He continued by saying that Justice League will be closer in tone to Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman – a decision that was always the case and not enacted due to Batman v Superman’s lacklustre response.
