The family of the Oscar-nominated film-maker John Singleton has announced that he will be taken off life support on Monday.
The Boyz N the Hood writer-director, 51, had suffered a major stroke earlier this month and had been kept in intensive care ever since.
“It is with heavy hearts we announce that our beloved son, father and friend, John Daniel Singleton will be taken off of life support today,” a spokesperson for the family said in a statement to Deadline.
