After making her first major return to television earlier this year with the network’s critically acclaimed historical drama, Mrs. America star Cate Blanchett and her production banner Dirty Films have inked a first-look TV deal with FX Productions, according to Variety.
“Through our collaboration on ‘Mrs. America,’ we’ve experienced firsthand their enthusiasm for robust conversations, and their unwavering support for bold and ambitious entertainment.”
“We are excited to continue working with John (Landgraf), Eric (Schrier), Gina and the entire brilliant team at FX,” the Dirty Films partners said in a joint statement.
In addition to having starred in the Dahvi Waller-created miniseries, Blanchett acted as executive producer alongside Waller, Francini, Stacey Sher (Reno 911!) and Captain Marvel filmmakers Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden.
