Moving Gibbs out of his position on the team would be a way to freshen up the NCIS formula, but it would also be a major change to the status quo that has worked for nearly a decade and a half.
NCIS has already been renewed for Season 15, so the curious ratings drops in Season 14 won’t result in a premature cancellation, but we can bet that CBS would like the series to start breaking records for a good reason again.
