The project was being written by Mark B. Perry and was supposed to serve as a sequel to Dan Curtis’ cult classic series Dark Shadows which ran on-air from 1966 to 1971.
It has been more than a year since it was first reported that Warner Bros. was developing a sequel reboot of the cult classic soap-opera Dark Shadows, and now TVLine brings word that the development of Dark Shadows: Reincarnation has been cancelled and is no longer moving forward at The CW.
There have been several attempts to cash in on Dark Shadows previously, including television adaptations in 1991 and 2004, both of which were short-lived.
The outlet notes that the project had failed to score a pilot order.
