David S. Goyer is known for his many works on superhero films, having written the screenplays for the Blade Trilogy, Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and most famously, Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Goyer talked about the Dark Knight trilogy and how DC initially had grander plans for the franchise.
With The Dark Knight Rises having left fans with the possibility of a new man taking up the mantle as Batman, though, it would have been interesting to see Superman and other heroes interact with them.
Goyer said that no talks of that occurred between himself and Nolan or anyone else, but that DC did want to link things.
