Their personalities also played off of Deadpool’s excellently; Colossus as the straight man trying to urge Wade to become a better person and Negasonic as the apathetic teenager unimpressed with the main protagonist’s antics.
For the most part, Deadpool was a self-contained superhero movie, but Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead served as the primary connective threads to the wider X-Men world.
Even if they aren’t integral to Deadpool 2’s story, it will be great to see them have more amusing conversations with the fourth wall-breaking anti-hero.
They first showed up to try to recruit Deadpool into the mutant superhero team, and later they agreed to help him rescue Vanessa from Ajax and Angel Dust.
