Of course, Ewan McGregor’s willingness to be a part of a Christopher Robin 2 is only a part of the equation – and, frankly, not a major one.
To date the moving has made a respectable $66.8 million here at home, with foreign markets contributing enough to bump the worldwide total to $89.9 million.
Much more important is fan demand and ticket sales – and on that front it’s hard to say exactly at this point if there’s a ton of sequel potential here.
At this point that probably means that it has managed to make its budget back before marketing, but the performance may not be strong enough to fully support sequel talks.
