The film itself is currently screening in New York and Los Angeles and will open wide later this month.
Scorsese, who worked closely with Fabrica de Cine’s Gaston Pavlovich on the making of the film, wrote the Silence movie screenplay with Jay Cocks (Gangs of New York), based on the book Silence by Shusaku Endo.
