Internationally the movie brought $19.2 million, giving it an international total of $32.1 million and a global total $56.2 million. Universal’s latest micro-budget collaboration with Blumhouse Productions, Ma, opened with $18 million domestically and another $2.8 million internationally for a global total of $21.06 million. Lionsgate’s John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum fell to fifth place, bringing in $11.1 million domestically and another $12.7 million internationally. The film’s US haul now sits at $125.7 million, the first to crack $100 million domestically, and $95.9 million internationally for a global total of $221.7 million to date, the first to crack $200 million worldwide.
The film had a similar drop domestically and rise internationally compared to Kong: Skull Island, which opened with $61 million in the US but $81.6 million internationally.
Internationally the film opened with $130 million for a worldwide total of $179 million.
Aladdin slipped into second placed, dropping 54% and bringing in $42 million domestically for a US total of $185 million.
