The Mexico shoot of filmmaker Alfonso Cuarón’s new film came into trouble after crew members were assaulted by a group of union workers.
Despite local police authorities’ attempts to downplay the incident, crew members are reported to have also had their personal belongings robbed from them.
It’s the first film the director’s shot in Mexico since Y tu Mamá También (2001).
Oscar-winning Gravity director Cuarón – whose past credits includes Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban – was not on set when the attacks took place.
