Deadline reports that the former star of HBO’s The Wire has been cut from the untitled Han Solo Star Wars anthology film.
In yet another disappointing (though not exactly ruinous) development for the Han Solo movie, a new report reveals that Michael K. Williams’ role was cut from the untitled Star Wars spinoff amid reshoots under director Ron Howard.
The untitled Han Solo spinoff hits theaters on May 25, 2018.
Williams, who recently earned an Emmy nomination for his role in The Night Of, was unable to participate in reshoots for the Star Wars spinoff because Lucasfilm’s schedule conflicted with the actor’s part in The Red Sea Diving Resort.
