Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts TV rights reportedly bought for $250 million by NBC

While Disney has previously housed the Warner Bros. films, NBC has acquired the rights to show the Harry Potter and upcoming Fantastic Beasts series through until April 2025.

Around the world, Harry Potter is still a big deal, especially now the eighth part in the series – Harry Potter and the Cursed Child – has been released and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is on the way.

However, reports have indicated that NBC spent upwards of $250 million on the deal, an unprecedented amount for a film series.
