Now Host, the tiny British horror film conceived and made in lockdown, is being hailed as the first great film of the pandemic.
The finished result, which premiered on horror channel Shudder a fortnight ago, has created a viral sensation online.
Savage, who has directed multiple award-winning horror shorts, filmed himself while on one of those Zoom calls heading into his spooky attic.
“There is this idea of the director as the author, but this film belongs to all of us,” says Savage.
