Of course, after writing and directing both the 1984 original and its 1991 follow-up, both of which are seen as seminal entries in both the sci-fi genre and cinema in general, James Cameron hasn’t been involved in The Terminator franchise since Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
However, just a few days later, Skydance CEO David Ellison nipped this speculation in the bud by declaring that something big is still planned for the Terminator franchise.
