The project comes packaged with a ticking clock of sorts, because there is a plan to include the child stars from the first movie, and those actors are on the verge of not being children anymore.
That in mind, and being aware of the amazing success WB was able to conjure with a September release date, it wouldn’t be super surprising if the blockbuster takes that September 27, 2019 weekend that the studio has already claimed.
It’s very likely that we will get to see the IT sequel on the big screen sooner rather than later, and not just because there exists the opportunity for Warner Bros. to continue making a hell of a lot of money from the franchise.
