As Roseanne’s reboot (and even Last Man Standing’s resurrection after a year off) have shown us, it’s still possible to hook mass TV audiences with the right material.
Considering Friends has somehow retained a major semblance of its peak popularity ever since it went off the air, its return could make all other TV revivals look like Ugly Naked Guy’s bathtub drain.
Of course, NBC would likely try and squash Netflix in that kind of a situation, since a Friends revival (or something of the sort) could easily solidify the network’s stronghold on audiences in whatever given year it would happen in.
