Principal photography has begun in Cologne, Germany on French filmmaker Claire Denis’ English-language debut High Life.
The film revolves around convicts who trade in their jail time by agreeing to crew a dangerous mission to a black hole.
Andrew Lauren Productions will finance the film, with Alcatraz Films, Pandora Film Produktion, The Apocalypse Films and Mandants producing.
Binoche is known for her work in the film The English Patient, which won her the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1997.
