Director Colin Trevorrow is handing over the directorial reins to J.A. Bayona (The Impossible) for the sequel Jurassic World 2, which will start production in Hawaii early next year, with Universal already setting a June 22, 2018 release date.
J.A. Bayona is directing from a script co-written by Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow and his co-writer Derek Connolly.
The sequel will also take the action off Isla Nublar, where both the original Jurassic Park and last year’s Jurassic World took place.
Hopefully we’ll have more details on Jurassic World 2 as we get closer to production starting.
