Back in October 2015, Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter author Seth Grahame-Smith was tapped to direct the Flash movie, but by April 2016, he dropped out due to creative differences.
Months later, Dope director Rick Famuyiwa was hired as Grahame-Smith’s replacement, but like his predecessor, he eventually left due to creative differences.
Daley and Goldstein’s involvement also suggests that Flashpoint will go for a comedic tone, which fits with how Flash was presented in Justice League.
That happened in October 2016, and while names like Robert Zemeckis, Matthew Vaughn and Sam Raimi were tossed out as new directorial candidates during 2017, it appears that Warner Bros is keen on having John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein helm the Fastest Man Alive’s movie.
