If Luke Cage can fix these issues, it has the potential to come back bigger and stronger when the second season finally debuts.

Additionally, sustaining the overall momentum of the story over the course of 13 episodes eventually became somewhat difficult (again, this is something the other Netflix series suffer from as well) and as a result the pacing suffered.
Although most people agree that characters like Cottonmouth and Black Mariah have gone on to become two of Marvel’s best villains in recent memory, the ultimate Diamondback reveal at the end of the season left quite a bit to be desired — which is not an uncommon issue in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
