Michael B. Jordan (Creed, Fruitvale Station) and director Jennifer Yuh Nelson (Spawn TV series, Kung Fu Panda 2 and 3) are attached to the upcoming film A Bittersweet Life, a remake of the 2005 Korean cult hit film, according to Deadline.
Nelson is known for her work in animation, winning an Annie Award for Best Storyboarding in an Animated Feature Production for the opening of Kung Fu Panda.
The filmmakers are reportedly looking at this as a “high concept, character driven” film with the possibility for a franchise.
Jordan will play a mobster who becomes conflicted after being ordered to kill his mistress.
